About SDN New York Chapter Co-Founders –
Natalie Kuhn is a Senior Manager of Service Design at Capital One. She leads the Associate Experience design team within the Commercial Bank. They are responsible for improving existing products and services used by associates to serve customers, as well as creating new ones when appropriate. The Commercial Bank enables their customers to better understand and proactively manage their finances through various credit and treasury management solutions. Natalie coaches teams through research, synthesis, strategy, creative concepting, prototyping and product testing.
Kathleen Chao is Vice President of Technology Product Management at BNY Mellon. She works as a Design Strategist in one of the world’s oldest financial institutions in New York. Her day-to-day job includes connecting the dots among cross-functional teams, analyzing internal operations to support product lifecycle, defining design process and measurement, and educating fellow designers on new design trends. She also leads user research efforts and organizational ecosystem initiatives. In addition to her day and her evening jobs (i.e. organizing SD events in the city), she mentors Design for America students.
Antonio Iadarola has a Ph.D. in Design and is a Service and Industrial Designer as well as Co-founder of Studio Wé. He is a professor in industrial design and design thinking at Beijing Institute of Technology and co-leader of the Service Design professional trainings at Central Saint Martins, London. He is currently active as a Service Design consultant for the private and public sector as co-founder of Studio Wé (together with his business partner Antonio Starnino), a Work Design studio that helps organizations design the way they work, by linking their strategic goals to the development of tailored methods & tools and workplace design.
About the Moderator –
Malin is a Business Innovation Director at Oracle. She drives innovation as part of Oracle FUEL. An Innovation Service designed to help unlock business innovation opportunities through creative problem solving and co-creation. By focusing on the unmet needs of customers and employees, she supports clients to generate ideas and rapidly prototype new solutions that leverage unique capabilities that bring their vision to life. Prior to Oracle she held management positions at Klarna, the highest valued Fintech in the EU with $5.5bn. And led the largest Red Cross branch in Stockholm, Sweden as chairwoman.
