Looking into 2019: How to Deliver High Impact Change Management, a Foundational Element of SD
As we near the close of 2018, it is a good time to reflect on the past 11 months – whether you are thinking about yourself as an individual or how your organization runs as a whole. Maybe you are already in the midst of major changes, considering change, or are in a position in which change needs to happen and you don’t know where to start. The NYC Service Design Collective is excited to welcome Mai and Jon to lead you through a workshop that leverages design thinking methods and service design case studies to help you get going and / or make sure you are taking approaches that will bring the most success.
What is change management and why do organizations need it? During this interactive 2 hour workshop, we will dive into an overview of change management, identify key challenges, best practices and discuss how we can leverage design thinking principles to drive high impact change management. Through the use of case studies, large group discussions, live polling and data visualization, we will challenge your mind and address why it’s often so hard for people to adapt to change.

About the Speaker, Facilitators –
The workshop will be led by Mai Huynh, Manager at EY (Ernst & Young) in their People Advisory Services and Jonathan Shan, Director, CX Integration and Adoption at Comcast. Both Mai and Jon have worked with different clients to deliver change management across several industries including technology, media, consumer packaged goods, and pharmaceuticals. They’ve leveraged design thinking principles to help organizations to enhance their change management techniques.
